A WORD FROM HENRY
We're excited to present a preview and summary of Ken's new Blackjack Tournament e-book, which BJI has just released. The bad boy of blackjack, "Hollywood" Dan Stann has also written a new book, Hollywood Blackjack: An Uncensored Guide to Doing it Like a Pro, and we have an excerpt on what to do when counting goes wrong. If you want to learn about how the "Big Player" team approach to blackjack works, and what "co-variance" means in blackjack, you definitely want to read the article on More Team Money Management by The Gamemaster. If you are basic strategy player, you definitely want to read Fred Renzey's article on the World's Easiest Card Counting Systems, which includes the Ace-10 Front Count, Speed Count, and the K.I.S.S. Count. Alene and Frank Scoblete explain why the Atlantic City casinos are hurting, and which casinos currently offer the best blackjack (and craps) games. Ted Salveson, took a quick trip to Tunica and reports on what he found there. Joe Pane summarizes three tournaments that offer players an overlay. Norm Sheridan played in a recent wild card round in a televised World Series of Blackjack and begs the question, " Who was that bonehead that played in the WSOB?" Oh, oh. LVBear has more growls covering a host of casino industry issues. If you want some pointers on the correct protocols for playing in poker tournaments, check out Bill Burton's article. And last, but not least, we have a summary of the upcoming major blackjack tournaments across the country courtesy of blackjacktournaments.com.
The second TBJPATM blackjack tournament sponsored by Blackjack Insider was recently held at the River Palms casino in Laughlin, NV. Congratulations to the first place winner Lew Stokes, who won $2,050 and a life-time membership to the Blackjack Insider. For a complete list of the winners, click here.
I was also fortunate to win one of the TBT tournaments at Laughlin. See above link for details.
