A WORD FROM HENRY

Our Legends of Blackjack book is now available for Kindle, as well as PDF (you can download the book directly to a Kindle reader or use the free Kindle app and download to your iPhone or iPad). This book, written by blackjack pros Kevin Blackwood and Larry Barker, is a great read. It is unlike any other blackjack book because it contains the true stories of the ingenious pioneers who unraveled the secrets to winning at blackjack, and the legendary blackjack players and teams who used this information to win millions of dollars in casinos throughout the world. Now it's available at the new lower price of only $9.99, in Kindle AND PDF format. Click here for more details about the book and/or to order in Kindle format or PDF.

On October 21 in Las Vegas, I will be presenting two seminars at the Golden Touch Advantage-Play Friday. The first seminar is on how to get the advantage in blackjack, and the second covers how to get the edge in video poker. For details on this event, click here.

We recently emailed a survey to random BJI subscribers to get their feedback on how we can make the BJI more valuable for them. The two areas that were mentioned most were more reports on blackjack playing conditions, and more articles on other casinos games where it's possible to get the advantage. Therefore, this month's issue contains three reports on playing conditions (two from Las Vegas and one from Biloxi/Gulfport) plus articles on video poker, craps, and poker. We are planning some more great changes too; however, the BJI will continue to focus mainly on blackjack and this month we've got several great blackjack articles and reports.

We welcome two new contributing writers, who will be covering the blackjack playing conditions in and around Las Vegas. Stu D. Hoss reviews the blackjack-playing conditions at Red Rock, Suncoast, and Rampart casinos (located in Northwest Las Vegas), while KC Brooks visited Green Valley Ranch, Sunset Station, and Fiesta Henderson casinos (located south and east of Las Vegas). JPB made a rare trip to the Biloxi/Gulfport area and he reports on the blackjack playing conditions that he found there. Basil Nestor has written an informative article on why Internet blackjack is illegal in the U.S. and what you can do to help change this. Ralph Stricker discusses a betting method (named " Cycles and Circumstance") that he and some of his team members used for many years to disguise their play. Many serious blackjack players participate in the Green Chip Message Boards on Stanford Wong's bj21.com. Read what being a "green chipper" is about in the article by Stanford Wong (as well as the special promotion we organized with bj21.com). If you want to learn about the famous 5-Count in craps, read Frank Scoblete's article for all the details. Frank Kneeland has important news this month from the video poker front: new progressive video poker games have been installed at the M casino in Henderson, NV (south of the Strip) that have over a 100% return, and Frank summarizes a playing strategy for one of the games in his article. Part 2 excerpt from Bill Zender's new book Casino-ology 2, covering blackjack side bets is also in this issue. If you are a poker player, Bill Burton's column containing solid tips on how to be victorious against your opponents is a must read. Last, but not least, we have the upcoming schedule of blackjack tournaments courtesy of www.blackjacktournaments.com.

In the Article Spotlight
PART-TIME MONEY MANAGEMENT by The Gamemaster.

This month's great "insider" article appeared in issue #88 of BJI. The Gamemaster wrote the article, which contains advice on how a casual, non-pro card counter should manage his session and total bankroll.

Enjoy the issue.

LAS VEGAS BLACKJACK REPORT: RED ROCK, SUNCOAST, AND RAMPART by Stu D. Hoss

"Amid the gated communities, golf courses, mountain shadows, and open spaces of Summerlin lies three casinos - Suncoast, Rampart, and Red Rock. It's a beautiful early evening in May as I went in search of a small sliver of the American Dream on the green felt blackjack tables of Summerlin..."

LAS VEGAS BLACKJACK REPORT: GREEN VALLEY RANCH, FIESTA HENDERSON and SUNSET STATION by KC Brooks

"This month I will review three Station-operated establishments. With the cost of gas constantly on the rise, it seemed prudent to review casinos within a reasonable proximity of one another that, most importantly, offer a beatable blackjack game. Green Valley Ranch (GVR), Fiesta, and Sunset Station casinos, which are located in Henderson, N.V., meet this simple criterion..."

    BILOXI/GULFPORT BLACKJACK REPORT by JPB

"It's been about two years since I played blackjack in the Biloxi/Gulfport area. Back then, I found the games mediocre, except for the Beau Rivage, which was one of my favorite places for double deck. Listed below are observations from my May 2011 trip..."

WHY INTERNET BLACKACK IS ILLEGAL IN THE U.S. by Basil Nestor

"Internet blackjack is prohibited in the United States. You probably noticed. Depending on the state where you live and the game you play, technically, it may not be illegal for you to bet online. However, it's absolutely a big no-no for an Internet casino to accept bets in the United States. Why is that, and why should you care..."

HOW AND WHERE IT BEGAN: LACK OF DISCIPLINE LEADS TO DESTRUCTION-Part 7 by Ralph "Silver Fox" Stricker

SCOBE ON CRAPS: The 5-COUNT by Frank Scoblete

"How do you position yourself to take advantage of hot rolls without losing a fortune betting on every single shooter and every single roll of the dice? How do you get the same amount or more in comps with less risk? The legendary Captain from Atlantic City developed a method called the 5-Count, which considered both these questions..."

TEXAS HOLD'EM A TO Z: "V" IS FOR VICTORY by Bill Burton
