A WORD FROM HENRY
My friend Michael "Wizard of Odds" Shackleford has developed quite a unique
simplified basic playing strategy that is worth checking out (hey, you might
want to teach it to a friend or relative who can't quite master basic strategy).
Read what Vinny DeCarlo has to say about his personal experience with the
late
"Polish Maverick" Bob Stupak (who gave DeCarlo his first job in casino security).
Ralph Sticker retells
the big move he made in his life, and what subsequently
happened to his newly formed blackjack team. According to Frank Scoblete, the
AC casinos are losing in their battle of survival. Read his views on this
and the latest report on blackjack playing conditions from his team of reporters.
Joe Pane describes the format of a poker tournament that he played in last week
in Aruba, and the plans he's worked out with the Casino Manager there for a
week-long series of blackjack tournaments in 2010. Ted Salveson's long-time
casino host was fired and then hired by another casino, and he describes
what happened and what he did about it. Kenneth Smith wraps up his series
on
Accumulation Blackjack Tournaments with nine more solid tips that
could put you in the winners circle. The Babe meanwhile completes his
two parts series on
splitting Aces in tournaments (you'll be surprised
at what he recommends). Poker pro Bill Burton offers tips on
when to call
(and when not to). And last, but not least, we have a summary of
blackjack tournaments for November and December courtesy of
blackjacktournaments.com.
Here's a recent court ruling that you might find interesting: The Indiana
Court of Appeals ruled that a casino had no legal right to ban a blackjack
player who admitted counting cards to gain a competitive advantage.
