A WORD FROM HENRY

I am teaching a Speed Count Blackjack class in Las Vegas on Sept. 18th (last class in 2015). Class is nearly full ... only a few spots left. If you are interested in attending, call me at 1-251-648-2471 ASAP.

Are you ready for some football! I know I am which is why I'm delighted that Paul Wilson wrote his Paul's Pointer's column this month on how to bet on football games in casino sports books. (Don't miss reading this excellent primer on betting in sports books.) We have several blackjack trip reports containing tips on where there are playable (and unplayable) blackjack games. They include the Las Vegas report encompassing Binion's and Golden Nugget casinos (by Stu D. Hoss); the casinos in nearby Primm and Jean, NV (by KC Brooks); Mohegan Sun in Connecticut (by "Reload" Joe Freda), and Atlantic City (by Frank Scoblete). In his final article in an exclusive series on Cheating at Blackjack for the BJI, blackjack cheater Dustin Marks explains how his team used a "computer cooler" to cheat at the tables (interesting details on how this worked). Legalizing online gambling in Pennsylvania is a hot topic these days and Mark Gruetze gives the status on this controversial legislation. I answer a reader's question on whether his $75,000 blackjack bankroll will last him during his lifetime. Jerry "Stickman" explains the difference between playing a video poker game on a single play vs. multiple plays (good stuff and important information). John Grochowski answers several questions dealing with proposed changes in tax laws that will affect video poker players; how cards are dealt on video blackjack machines, and the rules, payoffs, and house edge for the new casino game called Riverboat Roulette. Last, but not least, we have a roundup of upcoming blackjack tournaments courtesy of blackjacktournaments.com.

One last tip. You can view my latest educational video on how to become a smarter video poker player by clicking on this link: https://youtu.be/LCt8fJoVLyI. The video was filmed in Las Vegas by my good friends Steve Bourie and his son Matt (www.americancasinoguide.com).

Enjoy the issue!
